It is important that you look after your emotional wellbeing to help you cope with any challenges you may face. There is a lot of support available to support you with this.

Useful Resources

The Department for Education has created an Education Hub. Within this they have put together lots of resources to support children and young people's mental health. To learn more, visit the DfE Education Hub's Mental Health Resources [External Link].

Local and National Support

There are many national and local organisations that can support you.

Jigsaw4u

Jigsaw4u is a charity that provides support to young people living in the boroughs of Merton and Sutton. They offer a wide range of services including counselling, advocacy and community activities.

Kooth

Kooth is an online mental health service for young people. You can access a range of resources to help you with your wellbeing. Kooth also provide an online counselling service you can contact if you need to talk to someone.

MAPS Mentoring & Peer Support

Run by volunteer centre Sutton, MAPS provides young people with a mentoring opportunity. You will be paired with an adult mentor who will meet with you every week for up to a year. They also provide advocacy support to vulnerable young people in Sutton.

Hearts and Minds

Provides community, intentional peer support and mentoring for young people, ages 14-25, experiencing mental health difficulties.

Off the Record

Off the Record has a confidential talk to us service. They provide counselling for young people aged 11-25 living in Sutton. They have a range of online support services and also run workshops throughout the year.

SWLStG provide a wide range of services across South West London, including services for Mental Health.

Sutton Mental Health Foundation (SMHF)

SMHF provides community mental health support for those 18 and over living in Sutton. They run a range of services and events to help you with your mental health. These include yoga, music groups and support groups. They also run a crisis café that you can attend if you need support.

Sutton Young Carers Service

Sutton Young Carers Service provides specialist support for 8-25 year olds who are carers. They run workshops and support groups to help young carers with their mental health.

Achievable Journey to Inspire Change (AJIC)

AJIC is led by Asma Jacob who is a qualified therapist. She helps young people to gain the tools they need to help them cope with any challenges they might face. These tools can be used in daily life to help build coping mechanisms. This service is not paid for by Sutton so will need to be paid for by those using it.
