Early Help means providing support as soon as a problem emerges. This can be at any point in a child's life, from the early years through to the teenage years.
Targeted Early Help Service
The Targeted Early Help Service aims to improve outcomes for families within Sutton. When they work with a family they complete a consent based whole family assessment. This is followed by a plan that will involve lots of other professionals.
The service primarily receives referrals from professionals. This happens when they may be worried that without intensive support outcomes for a family may not be good. To find out how to contact the Targeted Early Help Service and make a referral visit the LBS website [External Link]
Family Hubs
Family Hubs bring together the support a family may need, from pregnancy through to young people turning 19. If a young person has SEND they can access Family Hubs until they are 25.
Family Hubs aim to make a positive difference to parents, carers and their children. They provide a mix of physical and virtual spaces. They also provide outreach. This is where families can access non-judgmental support for the challenges they may be facing.
